440C
440C is a high carbon chromium stainless steel, capable of developing high hardness and high mechanical properties by conventional heat treating methods. 440C exhibits best corrosion resistance in the hardened condition. It has excellent resistance to wear and abrasion and is magnetic in all conditions. It develops the highest hardness of the stainless steels.
